Nurdin speaks very good English and is THE expert on Baluran Nationalpark, with a keen interest in wildlife photography and some impressive shots available as print or photo book. Even after so many years he spent studying the area, his excitement about the parks natural diversity seems to remain unbroken.

The guesthouse is cozy, quiet and clean, like the country side western house. It is more than just an accommodation. Not only the rooms are clean and comfortable, they are also eco-friendly. Made us feel like staying at our family's house in the countryside. The owner, Nurdin Razak, is a wildlife photographer who has been dedicating his life for Baluran National park and the local community surrounding the area. Hence, his attention and cares for the area are unquestionable. He provided us with lunch and dinner menus cooked by local community too.

The lodge doesnt provide meals, but it can be ordered at nearby warung, the menu was a simple traditional Indonesian dishes like pecel and soto, they were really good, and cant hv enough of the corn frits.

The place is close to the Baluran National Park itself. If you choose to include the food, you wont regret it, the food is cooked by locals with touch of love in which really tasty and authentic. All in all, this place is recommended for those who want to have local wisdom experience and comfort during the stay.
